I've kept silly little websites ever since September, 1997. Occasionally I write poems, draw pictures, keep a journal (not updated terribly much, supplemented as it is by my LJ), and try to maintain a log. Other bits & pieces are scattered about, most of them can be found in the jewelbox.

I'm best represented by my writing - scattered, shattered, and strange though it can be sometimes. Here's some facts if you want something a little more linear:

I was born on April 3rd, 1980 (a Thursday). I'm an Aries although I don't put much stock into horoscopes. I'm a struggling (fill in the spirituality issues here). I have short-ish brown hair (had most of it chopped off in early 2002; it was down to my bum). I need a haircut and want to get one like this. I'm married to a beautiful boy. His name is Nathan and I tend to talk about him a lot, because he's awesome and funny and a wonderful, supportive friend with whom I have lots & lots of fun. I work at a well-known sandwich chain - I started working there in February, 2002. I'm an Australian girl living in America. I came here on a fiancee visa, and am now a lawful permanent resident with a social security card, bank account, job, state ID, and a lovely brown Volvo named Betsy. I need to get an American driver's license. I haven't driven a car in over a year and no offense intended to Americans, but the drivers here are damn crazy. So I'm kind of scared to drive. My favourite Winnie The Pooh character is Eeyore and I have a growing collection of Eeyores. I have my eye on some more which I cuddle everytime I go into the Disney Store. Capitalistically piggish though it might be, I like to shop. Some of my favourite shops include Barnes And Noble, Hastings, Office Max, Lane Bryant and Old Navy (U.S); The Body Shop, Borders, Target, KMart, and The Reject Shop (Australia). I also like thrift stores/op shops, independent used and new bookstores, and all of the little shops in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

My mum & dad are seperated. I love my mum to bits. I'm learning to deal with my dad. I have one sister, a brother-in-law, two nephews and a neice/nephew on the way. I have three other brothers-in-law and two parents-in-law on Nathan's side. I only have my paternal grandmother left of my extended family (those that I have contact with). One of my middle names, Jeanette, is my great-aunt Pearl's middle name. My mum's family lived/s in South Australia, and I miss that state. I was born & raised in Victoria, in the suburbs of Melbourne.

Favourite TV shows are "Friends", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Family Guy", "The Simpsons", "The X-Files" (while Mulder was an actual central character), "The Brak Show" and Looney Tunes cartoons from the '50s and '60s.

Random sampling of favourite movies: "Back To The Future" (parts I, II and III), "The Devil's Advocate", "Austin Powers" (the original and best), "Center Stage", "The Long Kiss Goodnight", "The Matrix", "Encino Man" (well, pretty much anything with Brendan Fraser or Pauly Shore), "Amelie", and a lot of others. The list of our extensive, ever-growing DVD collection gives a better idea.

Favourite albums: everything Jamiroquai has ever put out, which would cover "Emergency on Planet Earth", "Return of the Space Cowboy", "Travelling Without Moving", "Synkronized" and "A Funk Odyssey"; everything by Jewel ("Pieces of You", "Spirit", "0304" - I don't have "This Way" yet but I have previewed it, love it, and added it to my wishlist); "Beautiful Tomorrow" by Blue Six; "Foo Fighters" and "The Color And The Shape" by the Foo Fighters, "Throwing Copper" by Live; "Images and Words" and "Awake" by Dream Theater.

My favourite writing instrument are regular black ballpoints and metallic gel pens, especially Pentel Metallic Gel Rollers and my new love, Gelly Roll pens. I've been journalling for over half of my life, although it is sporadic at times. This year I'm trying to write every day, even if it's just a list of ten things I'm grateful for everyday.

Here's a whole bunch of other randomness: I love fluffy kittens and cats, rainy days, kids toys, books (I love Margaret Atwood and Laura Esquivel to name a couple), cook books, reading, writing, air travel and airports, sorbet and sherbert, candles, cute things, cartoons, anime, comic books, Jay and Silent Bob, wind chimes, DVDs, snow, ice skating, bowling, driving around aimlessly in the middle of the night, Celestial Seasonings Tea, Jamiroquai, Jewel, Dream Theater, writing in my journal, learning how to be crafty.

Here's a couple of pictures:
