sunday morning prescription

25.02.02

here's the instructions
for the sunday morning prescription:

take a dose of words spoken tenderly
combine with warm hands caressing cool skin
wrap it up in a fluffy ocean blanket
but that's only the start-

let him hold you in that blue cocoon,
breathe in his scent
cherish the feel of his heartbeat beneath your ear

listen to his voice as he tells you
how he is, how he feels:
take it in and appreciate
that he is always sharing things,
so sacred in their simplicity

realise that when you speak, he really is hearing you.

next, pull him close
the kisses are for the state of your heart:
the gentleness is to calm you,
the lips to soothe you,
the curious tongue to quicken your pulse.

during the next few moments,
clothes may become optional.
it's all a part of the medication.

allow him close to you,
and don't be shy - he's seen it all before.
involve yourself in the serenity
of skin against skin,
heat seeking heat,
bodies connecting.
touch and be touched
let childlike wonder lead your hands
to the pleasure that will enliven your spirit.

feel the vibrancy of a slow embrace,
how delicious it can feel
for sunlight to slither in through the blinds
while you pause and look into his eyes.

for relaxation, it is suggested
that you do not deny yourself,
hold back,
or in any way block the path of delight.

let him serenade you
with hands, fingers, lips, hair, his entire body
the tune allows room for harmony
sing with him, without words

allow him in,
allow him out,
be pulled into a world
where time doesn't exist
and sunday morning stretches beyond your vision.

this prescription is valid forever,
to be taken not just on sundays, but whenever you need it;
it should leave you feeling relaxed,
calm,
and beautiful.
